Seems like the modern set of people have gotten away from the complementary our parents and grandparents knew as necessities. It was unheard of not to have a coffee table next to the sofa for the last generation. Everyone had end tables and a center table for coffee a decade ago. Where did they go?
Coffee tables can make or break a room. The right one can make a stylish statement bringing all of your furniture together into a unified whole. However, one element that many people fail to consider is whether their coffee table is actually safe.
Whilst a dining table might be out of reach for small children a coffee table is the perfect height for tiny fingers to investigate. Many small children have a particular fascination for coffee tables, spending hours investigating the treasures that they can hold.
The size of your singular coffee tables is also a very important consideration. If you have larger scale furniture you want your coffee tables to be larger in scale also. A room can look odd and unbalanced if the coffee table is disproportionately larger or smaller than your other furniture.
